Financial Controller (FMCG)

Seeking a high‑calibre Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function and report directly to the Managing Director. The role involves strategic finance leadership, commercial analysis, and team management.

As Financial Controller you will lead a team of 8 and influence the commercial direction of the company.

• Strategic Leadership: Direct all aspects of Finance and Accounting ensuring the function scales alongside the business.
  
• Performance Insight: Deliver monthly reporting packs and “deep‑dive” variance analysis to the MD and leadership team.
  
• Commercial Analysis: Drive profitability through rigorous Gross Margin analysis by product and customer—identifying trends before they impact the bottom line.
  
• Financial Stewardship: Manage company cash flow, tax compliance (VAT, Payroll), and the full year‑end audit process.
  
• Future Planning: Develop robust short‑ and long‑term financial projections to guide board‑level decision‑making.
  
• Process Evolution: Continuously audit and enhance internal controls to safeguard the validity of the balance sheet.
  

Credentials: Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years Post‑Qualification Experience, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing and trained in the Big 4.
  
• Analytical Rigor: Ability to handle large datasets with precision and translate data into actionable business intelligence.

• Base Salary: €100,000 – €120,000 (DOE)
