This is a senior leadership automation & electrical role on site within a complex 24/7 manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for system performance, reliability, standards, and long-term control systems strategy across all production and utilities.
This role suits an experienced automation engineer who wants full technical ownership, strong site influence, and the opportunity to shape critical manufacturing systems at scale.
Key Responsibilities Own site electrical and automation strategy and control systems roadmap Act as system owner for PLC, SCADA, DCS, robotics, instrumentation, and networks Lead fault finding and root cause analysis to improve uptime and stability Lead automation input into capital projects from design to commissioning Define and maintain control standards, programming practices, and documentation Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and audit requirements Support operations, maintenance, IT, and quality on system performance Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams Requirements Electrical or Instrumentation qualification with degree or equivalent in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems 10+ years' experience in automation-led manufacturing Strong PLC and SCADA experience Strong industrial electrical and high-voltage systems experience Proven automation project delivery xcfaprz and reliability improvement experience Food, beverage, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred What is Offered Senior site leadership role with full technical ownership High autonomy and direct influence on engineering standards and investment decisions Opportunity to shape automation strategy in a highly advanced manufacturing environment Competitive package including overtime opportunities and strong benefits Long-term role with significant technical responsibility Benefits: Pension Training & Dev Performance Bonus
