Key duties

  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on mechanical equipment, including Hangar Doors, Overhead Doors, Fire Doors, etc.
  • Install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery using welding equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Repair and overhaul of Company facilities, including Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Conduct building inspections to ensure compliance with Building Code standards.
  • Work safely, following industry standards, while completing various facility-related tasks.
  • Work independently or in a team, under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years field experience;
  • Must possess a valid DVS (Diploma of Vocational Studies);
  • Must possess valid Driver’s licence with clean abstract;
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, and applicable safety codes;
  • Must possess a valid Gas TAG-1 Licence Certification;
  • Knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, BMS system (Trane/Siemens), Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, CMMS;
  • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detailed oriented;
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Internet environment);
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment;
  • Employment is subject to meeting Transport Canada security requirements and obtaining a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP). Please refer to Transport Canada site for more details;
  • Candidates must be available for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment, including evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays;
