Sales Manager Location:
Hybrid role, minimum of 2 days per week in office - based out of our midtown NYC office. The candidate must be flexible to come in additional days during the week, when needed, to meet deadlines, and/or to attend customer meetings, company events + trade shows. Workweek schedule:
40 hours per week; 9am - 6pm. Who You Will Report To:
SeniorSales Director What You Will Do : The Sales Manager will own and grow a portfolio of accounts in the FDM division,
with a primary focus on Grocery . This role leads retailer relationships at a senior level, shapes account strategy, and drives revenue growth through strong commercial execution and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include: ·
Retail Relationship Management: leading and deepening strategic partnerships with key buyers ·
Business Development: proactively identifying and pursuing growth opportunities across existing and prospective accounts, including new departments and categories ·
Forecasting + Analyzing Business: owning topline revenue forecasting and demand planning; using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities ·
Internal Alignment: cross-functional collaboration across product development, merchandising, logistics and production to deliver what’s promised to the retailer ·
Pricing & Margin Management: partnering with internal teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that support both retailer needs and company margin goals ·
Business Reviews & Reporting: building and presenting regular business recaps (monthly) to internal leadership and retail partners, with clear takeaways and action plans ·
Team Leadership: managing and developing the Associate Sales Manager, providing mentorship, setting clear goals, and supporting their growth Who You Are: Analytical multi-taker who can prioritize workload. A team player who works independently ·
Organized with time management skills; excellent with coordinating timelines, delivering on multiple deadlines, giving timely status updates and follow up. ·
Detail-oriented; Able to execute accurate work in a timely manner. ·
Process-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks at once. ·
Resourceful; someone who can communicate clearly cross functionally. ·
Someone who takes pride in their work and is dependable and consistent in their work quality! What you Bring: ·
Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or other related areas is preferred. ·
5+ years’ relevant experience in sales (grocery accounts), with a proven track record of driving account growth ·
Ability to own tasks from start to finish. ·
Experience in wholesale and/or buying office ideal. ·
True interest in & general understanding of sales & data, as well as the retail and wholesale space ·
Experience in licensing/licensed products highly preferred ·
Ability to work cross functionally with many departments, especially the art and product development teams. ·
Effective communication skills & excellent writing skills ·
Ability & maintain accurate records. ·
Ability to learn and maneuver within various portals required to do the job is critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, Outlook (Email, Scheduling) ·
Knowledge of and passion for pop culture a definite plus ·
