Description Duration: June–August 2026 Schedule: Full-time (ideally)
The Sales Contracts Intern is a paid position and will work in collaboration with the Sales Contracts Administrator and SPR’s Legal & Compliance team. This internship will focus on the Sales Contracts function within SPR and on high impact areas such as contract relationship management, contract management, contract compliance, and legal operations, with opportunities to gain exposure to many cross‑functional areas impacting the business.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the full lifecycle of sales contracts, including preparation, updating, tracking, and reconciling agreements across SPR’s customer relationship management (CRM) and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
Prepare initial drafts of contracts, rebates, and amendments using approved templates, ensuring accurate population of customer data, pricing, and deal‑specific terms.
Implement and maintain rigorous documentation and version‑control standards, including consistent file naming, saving of draft iterations, and complete documentation of negotiated changes.
Support account approval workflows by collecting required information, creating and updating account records, and partnering with Sales Operations and Finance to ensure proper setup.
Perform CRM/CLM data maintenance, including identifying missing or expired contracts, updating data, and ensuring accuracy of key data fields.
Review pricing and account submission documents (e.g., account approvals and sales contracts) for compliance with internal pricing policies and independently generate compliant contract documents.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Inside Sales teams to communicate account status, approval updates, and contract progress.
Contribute to ongoing improvement of sales contracting and contract management processes, systems, and data quality.
Additional Responsibilities
Support the Legal & Compliance team with broader legal and compliance initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Requirements Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public administration, legal studies, or a related field; early‑stage graduate students (MBA, MHA, MPH, MPA, etc.) are also encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated interest in contracts, legal operations, sales operations, or healthcare/business administration.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests in a timely manner.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with confidential information and demonstrate sound judgment.
Comfortable working with data, learning systems (CRM/CLM tools), and using productivity applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self‑starter with a willingness to ask questions, learn processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Working Conditions
This position is based out of the Cleveland SPR office location, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements as approved by the supervisor.
