Key Responsibilities
Process incoming event inquiries in a timely fashion, capturing all event details.
Oversee events from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring follow‑up and client satisfaction.
Coordinate with culinary, operations, accounting, purchasing, marketing, and design departments throughout the event lifecycle.
Translate proposals into BEOs in a detail‑oriented and organized manner.
Become fluent in catering software (Caterease), diagramming (Prism), staffing (Nowsta), and other necessary technology platforms.
Maintain client accounts and develop ongoing relationships to increase company value.
Present proposals and conduct site visits to clients, one‑on‑one or in groups.
Stay informed on industry trends, new menus, consumer preferences, and sales strategies, and engage in continuous training.
Represent Butler’s Pantry at industry events and local/national meetings.
Act as an ambassador of the company’s values and vision, modeling appropriate behavior for team members, clients, and guests.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree or certificate program from an accredited institution (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Ability to handle fast‑paced, stressful, changing situations with maturity and independent judgment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Cost and quality‑conscious mindset.
Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and willingness to learn new technologies.
Flexible work schedule and ability to be on call for events.
Physical stamina to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
Mathematical skills for calculating discounts, commissions, and proportions.
Passion for event planning and ongoing education in the industry.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships across departments to secure and advance sales.
Diplomacy, discretion, and ability to provide effective feedback in complex situations.
