SAP Consultant

Sanderson are partnering with a nationally recognised organisation to hire an experienced SAP Execution Lead. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving delivery, governance and business engagement across a large-scale SAP environment, with a strong focus on S/4HANA transformation.

You will play a central role in leading functional teams, improving existing processes, and ensuring a smooth transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.

You will lead SAP functional delivery, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams while ensuring high-quality execution, governance and continuous improvement across the SAP landscape.

• Lead, coach and coordinate SAP functional teams across projects, change and support activities
• Manage workload prioritisation, resource allocation and delivery planning to meet business objectives
• Drive consistent delivery standards, documentation quality and governance adherence
• Support and oversee the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, including remediation of existing processes
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, project teams and SAP delivery functions
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and process owners
• Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, including change control, testing and quality assurance
• Champion SAP best practices and delivery methodologies such as SAP Activate
• Support planning and execution of S/4HANA transformation initiatives
• Oversee issue resolution, root cause analysis and process optimisation
• Drive continuous improvement through standardisation and simplification of SAP processes
• Facilitate workshops, solution reviews and stakeholder communications
• Support user adoption, training and change management activities

• Proven experience leading SAP functional teams in complex delivery environments
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules, integration points and end-to-end delivery lifecycles
• Experience supporting or delivering SAP S/4HANA transformations
• Solid understanding of SAP Activate and structured delivery methodologies
• Experience with governance frameworks, including change and release management
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and IT
• Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Experience in process mapping, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
