Principal Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to support the delivery teams developing, implementing and maintaining a Product core to Fidelity’s Investment organization.

• 
  
• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  
• 8+ years’ experience in software application design and development.
  
• Demonstrated Experience in the following: Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular, REST Services, Cloud, deployment technologies, AWS, SQL, Oracle, Junit, Cucumber.
  
• Experience developing automated unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and performance testing.
  
• Solid understanding/experience of Cloud technologies and deployments in AWS using EKS, EC2, RDS and Docker is an advantage.
  
• Track record of leading and delivering complex technology solutions.

• A working knowledge of the Agile software development methodology.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, allowing you to convey technical concepts with internal customers, technical team members, and/or other technical contributors across the organization.
  
• An ability to solve complex technical and functional issues.
  
• The aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies in the cloud.
  
• An innovative mindset committed to automating and streamlining manual processes.
  
• Can collaborate well with the Business, your team members, work independently, and influence your technology peers.
  
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
  
• Good understanding of new GenAI dev assist tools and how to best leverage to improve SDLC.

The position aligns to the Fidelity Fund Investment Operation FFIO Technology organization which provides worldwide technology and support to the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. In this role, you will support the team in achieving their delivery goals by using the best architecture practices.
