Manager – Global Statutory Audit

Grant Thornton Ireland, a global network of 73,000 professionals, is seeking an experienced manager to lead our Global Statutory Audit team – a specialist group that provides coordinated audit solutions for large multinational companies.

• Take responsibility for a portfolio of Global Statutory Audit clients, including Irish/UK and international audits.
  
• Oversee the detailed audit work of assistant managers and seniors.
  
• Liaise closely with clients for planning and closing meetings and discuss business developments.
  
• Review audit work papers and provide guidance and expertise, particularly on complex or specialised issues.
  
• Manage on‑site audit operations for technically demanding sections such as Share‑Based Compensation and Revenue Recognition.
  
• Supervise and train junior staff to maintain firm standards throughout the audit process.
  
• Motivate team members, allocate tasks, plan jobs, identify training needs and required resources.
  
• Foster strong client relationships through regular communication and by identifying opportunities for value‑added services.
  
• Participate in preparing and presenting proposals to prospective clients, supporting the growth of the firm's client base.

• ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience in audit.
  
• Experience in a top‑ten firm and audit of large Irish companies or multinational entities.
  
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP; awareness of US GAAP is a benefit.
  
• Strong leadership and staff motivation skills under tight deadlines.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
• Previous experience documenting testing, results, and findings in an electronic auditing package.
  
• Team‑oriented approach with proven ability to support colleagues.
  
• Commercial awareness and proactive client service mindset.
