Data Collection Driver

Job Description

We are helping an innovator in AI technology hire reliable Data Collection Drivers to assist with a mapping and video recording project.
In this role, you will independently operate a company-provided vehicle to map and record locations during shifts between 1PM and 10PM, with 25%–50% of driving at night. You’ll also be responsible for managing and securely handling the data collected each shift.
The ideal candidate is a safe, dependable, and professional driver with commercial driving experience, a clean record, and the ability to operate independently for long hours, including at night. You are detail-oriented, comfortable handling digital data securely, and capable of following strict safety and project guidelines.
Travel & Training Schedule (required)

• Company covers lodging and per diem
• Redwood City/Bay Area: Sept 1 – Oct 1
• Los Angeles: Oct 1 – Dec 1

As a Data Collection Driver, you will:

• Drive a company-provided vehicle to support mapping and video recording projects.
• Operate the vehicle safely for 8–10 hours per day, including during night shifts.
• Record and map specified locations according to instructions.
• Manage, organize, and securely handle collected data each shift.
• Monitor data collection and provide accurate reports throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety protocols and project requirements.
• Prioritize vehicle security and operator safety at all times.

Requirements

• Drive a supplied vehicle to assist in the mapping and video recording project.
• Operate the vehicle for 8 to 10 hours per day, including during night conditions.
• Ensure the vehicle is driven safely and efficiently during both day and night hours.
• Record and map specified locations as instructed.
• Work alongside a second driver but complete all vehicle operations solo during your designated shift.
• Manage, organize, and securely handle data collected during each shift according to provided guidelines.
• Observation and reporting on data collection required through out the shift
• Follow all safety protocols and project requirements.
• Vehicle security and Operator safety are top priorities
