Physical Therapist / PT

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our inpatient rehabilitation setting. As a key member of a multidisciplinary care team, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients recovering from stroke, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, trauma, and complex medical events. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote long-term independence. You will perform comprehensive assessments, set measurable functional goals in collaboration with patients and families, and provide ongoing education to patients, caregivers, and team members regarding safe mobility, use of assistive devices, and home exercise programs. Working closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals, you will actively participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, contribute to discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care from admission through transition to home or another level of care.
