Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a mission-driven Dietary Consultant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting comprehensive, patient-centered care for underserved communities. In this role, you will provide expert, evidence-based nutrition guidance that supports holistic health and wellness outcomes, working closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and community health workers. The Dietary Consultant conducts detailed nutritional assessments, develops individualized and culturally sensitive care plans, and delivers both one-on-one and group counseling to patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. You will design practical meal plans, budget-conscious strategies, and behavior change interventions that align with each patient’s medical needs, cultural background, and available resources. A key aspect of this position is advancing community health: you will lead and support nutrition education workshops, cooking demonstrations, and wellness classes aimed at empowering individuals and families to make sustainable dietary changes. You will screen for food insecurity, connect patients to community resources and food assistance programs, and help reduce barriers to healthy eating in underserved neighborhoods. The role requires accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records, outcomes tracking, and participation in quality and population health initiatives. As part of Good Samaritan’s compassionate, integrity-driven culture, the Dietary Consultant actively participates in interdisciplinary case discussions, contributes to program development, and may mentor students or junior colleagues. Candidates will thrive in this collaborative environment if they are passionate about service, comfortable working with diverse populations, and committed to continuous learning and professional growth. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape meaningful patient outcomes while advancing the mission of Good Samaritan to provide holistic, accessible care to the communities we serve.
