Microbiology Engineer
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in maintaining a high-performing Microbiology function, ensuring compliance with cGMP and GLP standards and directly impacting product quality
- Support the validation and qualification of microbiological methods, including bioburden and endotoxin testing
- Own and maintain key laboratory systems and documentation, including SOPs, training records, and validation files
- Carry out routine microbiological and environmental monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate results
- Partner with external laboratories to coordinate specialised testing where required
- Contribute to audit readiness, representing Microbiology during internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support product quality and manufacturing operations
- Use your expertise to help drive continuous improvement initiatives within the lab
- Ensure all work is carried out with a strong focus on data integrity, compliance, and quality standards
Qualifications
- Degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline
- Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory methods
- Knowledge of cGMP environments and regulatory expectations
- A xcfaprz proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment and familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 is desirable
