Nocturnist Physician

Location: Rome, NY
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Physician Internal Medicine

Permanent inpatient Internal Medicine opportunity providing overnight hospitalist care with a manageable census and strong specialist support, ideal for both new graduates and experienced physicians seeking work-life balance.

• Inpatient nocturnist role with an average census of 5 10 patients per night
• Admissions from ED and direct physician referrals
• Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultant support
• Collaborative care with nursing, specialists, case management, and ancillary teams
• Participation in interdisciplinary rounds and structured handoffs
• Discharge planning coordination to ensure safe transitions of care
• Quality improvement, safety initiatives, and performance metrics involvement
• Teaching and mentorship opportunities for learners and APPs (if applicable)
• Paragon EMR system

• Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (within 1 year) REQUIRED
• New graduates accepted
• 1 year of experience preferred, not required
• New York license (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED
• DEA REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice and license history REQUIRED
• Not accepting Locums candidates
• Not accepting Visa candidates
• 1099 candidates NOT accepted

• Guaranteed base salary: $325,000 annually
