What Can You Expect From ALPLA Health and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care Benefits Dependent Care Cost Savings Program Recognition programs; Promotional opportunities 401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching Plan Medical, dental, vision plan Education assistance program/tuition reimbursement Short term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLA Paid vacation; paid holidays What You Will Enjoy Doing Main Responsibilities: Responsible for measuring and reporting dimensional characteristics according to PDS inspection plan or customer specification Writes CMM programs, validates CMM measurements (reviews data for accuracy); identifies root cause of abnormalities Sets up inspection plans for assigned articles with correct test settings and documentation Documents product information on basic data, QA reports, and Inspection plan Responsible for setup of functional and visual tests according to PDS inspection plan or customer specification Sets up and measures wall thickness as required and performs the wall thickness testing Performs destructive testing including drop test, Bruceston testing & leak testing Writes compression strength, capping & de-capping programs Performs nonstandard tests as needed Understands and able to analyze product system interaction to detect issues Responsible for working with Packaging Manager and Process Development team on QA related qualification procedures Provides QA support for testing and data analysis as needed for new product implementation in the TC and ALPLA production sites and AQPs. Supports the team needs to produce successful and timely pilot samplings Writes procedures and One Point Lessons for test equipment as needed Reviews and sends QA packages to the ALPLA facilities as required Responsible for understanding, maintaining, and using lab equipment Logs internal calibration checks on quality related equipment in the QA lab and technical center production floor Performs Gage RR, Measurement Systems Analysis Records and captures layer thickness when needed using Microscope Measures with other devices, such as depth gauge, height gage, or optical comparator What Makes You Great Education: Minimum 2-year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, required 4-year Degree (Bachelor), preferred Experience: 25 years of experience in quality field, required Skills: Good communication skills Ability to work well in team environment Experience with physical lab testing equipment, including calipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment Able to handle multi-task environment with good organization skills Excellent computer skills May be required to work overtime Understanding of statistics and SPC Software Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
