We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Dublin office and contribute to major infrastructure, transportation, and energy projects worldwide.
Responsibilities
Undertake and lead assignments in Ireland and internationally, collaborating across teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Deliver engineering solutions across a broad range of structural types and using local and international standards, including structural design and analysis at conceptual, preliminary, and detailed stages; check and analyse internal and third‑party designs; perform value engineering to identify improvements for clients; conduct finite element analysis and produce reports.
Prepare drawings, reports, calculations, analysis and specifications for internal and client communication.
Carry out site inspections, investigations and supervision for projects, liaising with designers and contractors to support construction works.
Qualifications
Professionally qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer.
Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant national and international industry standards, contracts, methodologies and procedures.
Experience at Assignment Manager and Designer level with a proven record of managing commercial and contractual aspects and delivering assignments on programme and budget.
Experience predominantly in large‑scale, high‑profile infrastructure projects for a range of clients in various construction market sectors.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.
Excellent team‑working skills; able to lead, contribute to and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
Knowledge and experience in structural analysis/finite element software such as LUSAS, MasterFrame, RM Bridge, SAM (Autodesk Structural Bridge Design).
Excellent Microsoft Office abilities (particularly Excel). xcfaprz
