Childcare Services Manager

NTDC invites applications for the position of Childcare Services Manager who will have responsibility for the day to day management of the Roscrea Little Learners and First Steps Childcare Services. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to manage a well-established and highly regarded services which have strong and dedicated staff teams.

The appointee will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Service and the quality of the supports offered. The Childcare Services Manager will be responsible for providing supervision and support for staff in relation to the work and their ongoing professional development.

• 
  
• Relevant Level 8 professional Qualification in Early Childhood Studies.
  
• At least 5 years’ experience in Childcare Work.
  
• At least 3 years’ Childcare/Afterschool Service and Staff Management Experience.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of childcare development principles and practices.
  
• Experience of managing and implementing Government supported Childcare Funding Programs.
  

Full-time position - working 37.5 hours per week. The Employment Contract is initially a fixed term contract until 31st December 2027. The continuation of the contract is subject to continued need for the service and continued availability of funding. xcfaprz The NTDC Childcare Servies has been in operation since 1997.

The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience based on a salary scale of €51,564 - €67,169 per annum.
