Senior Accountant

My client a leading international company are looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a newly created role. The main purpose of Senior Accountant role is to provide strong technical and financial support within a growing finance function. This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for financial control, statutory reporting, audit delivery, and governance.

The position will also play a key role in strategic initiatives, including M&A activity and large capital projects. This role will suit a technically strong accountant who is commercially aware and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment.

• Act as the technical finance lead for accounting and reporting matters
  
• Lead and manage year‑end close and audit processes
  
• Prepare and submit statutory financial statements
  
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  
• Prepare product and customer profitability analysis and support management decision‑making
  
• Support and develop members of the finance team
  
• Provide guidance on accounting policies, controls, and best practices
  
• Act as a key point of contact for technical accounting queries
  
• Act as the local point of contact for tax matters
  
• Liaise with external advisors and group tax teams
  
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and estimates
  
• Act as finance lead on M&A and post‑acquisition integration
  
• Oversee financial governance and reporting on major capital projects
  
• Support ad‑hoc commercial and financial projects as required
  

• 
  
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  
• Strong experience in financial reporting, audit, and compliance xcfaprz
  
• Proven ability to support and develop finance team members
  
• Background in working within structured finance environments (local or international)
  
• Strong technical accounting expertise
  
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to explain financial information clearly
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving capability
  
• Commercially minded with the confidence to contribute at senior level
  
• Experience in audit management, statutory reporting, and process improvement
