UF Health in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a skilled and patient-centered RT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary care team, the RT will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for a diverse patient population in an academic medical center. Working in a fast-paced hospital environment, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures, operating radiologic equipment in accordance with established protocols, and ensuring that all examinations are performed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to image quality. You will apply your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging principles to obtain diagnostic images while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines, infection control standards, and UF Health policies. In this role, you will interact closely with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate exams, clarify imaging requests, and communicate any urgent or unexpected findings in a timely manner. You will educate patients and families about procedures, provide reassurance and support, and adapt techniques for patients of varying ages, conditions, and levels of mobility to ensure a positive and respectful experience. The RT will be expected to utilize PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems for accurate documentation, image management, and workflow coordination, as well as participate in quality assurance activities, equipment checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
