Responsibilities
Ingest data from internal and external sources using cloud‑native platforms and apply industry‑standard software development practices and patterns.
Develop tools and solutions using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data, allowing Humana to enhance service delivery for members.
Help shape departmental strategy and make decisions regarding technical approaches to complex project components, exercising considerable latitude in setting goals and methods.
Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of technical experience in data analysis or engineering.
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Experience assessing complex data sets and conducting root cause analysis.
Utilization of data to inform and drive business outcomes and decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working with Snowflake Cloud.
Experience with the Azure ecosystem.
Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) framework.
Job Details
Remote position; occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
Requires reliable internet with a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps; multi‑band connection may be used if approved by leadership.
