The Courts of Limited Jurisdiction Case Management System (CLJ‑CMS) project is seeking a
Software Quality Assurance Tester
to join a high‑functioning project team as we implement a statewide case‑management system to support the state’s district and municipal courts. This position is crucial to support the development and maintenance of systems through testing, defect reporting and analysis, and participation in system implementation.
Reporting to the CLJ‑CMS Project IT Supervisor, this role provides quality assurance support to the development and maintenance of systems through testing, defect reporting and analysis, and participates in system implementation as needed.

Residency & Telework AOC requires employees to reside in Washington State. If you are invited to interview and currently reside outside Washington State, seek more information from the hiring manager.
This position requires two (2) days per week working onsite at AOC facilities.
Responsibilities
Analyze system requirements and create test data, test cases and test plans to ensure that new and revised systems meet customers' needs.
Plan, document, evaluate, and track testing results to ensure system applications are defect free.
Communicate and interact with appropriate areas on problems, changes, and enhancements that may affect data, workflow, or functionality within IT software.
Maintain a test documentation library.
Perform regression testing on vendor software, including updates and development fixes received from the vendor; test development for data exchanges produced by project software developers.
Use automated test tools to assess software quality.
Use technical tools (e.g., SQL queries, file managers) to create and manage test data and analyze test results.
Perform duties as required.
Qualifications Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science, business administration, public administration, or a closely allied field.
Five (5) years of experience working in a complex information technology environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
Experience using automated testing software.
Experience with business process elicitation methods and documentation of workflow.
Knowledge of Business Process Engineering (BPE/BPM) and Change Management principles.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with packaged application systems featuring high configurability to end‑user requirements.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodology.
