Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a mission-driven Dietary Consultant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, serving patients in historically underserved communities. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based nutrition services that support holistic health and wellness outcomes, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to address the medical, social, and cultural factors that shape patients’ dietary habits. The Dietary Consultant will conduct thorough nutritional assessments, interpret relevant medical and nutrition-related data, and develop individualized care plans that align with each patient’s health status, goals, and cultural preferences. You will offer one-on-one and group counseling focused on prevention and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular disease, using motivational interviewing and other behavior-change techniques to support sustainable lifestyle changes. You will collaborate daily with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, care coordinators, and community health workers to integrate nutrition into patient-centered care plans and ensure a seamless experience for patients. Using electronic health records, you will document assessments, recommendations, and progress, while tracking outcomes that reflect Good Samaritan’s commitment to measurable improvements in community health. Beyond direct patient care, the Dietary Consultant will play an active role in community outreach and health education. You will help design and deliver group classes, workshops, and presentations on topics such as healthy cooking on a budget, label reading, portion control, and disease-specific nutrition education. You will contribute to the creation of culturally relevant educational materials, menus, and recipes that meet patients where they are and respect diverse food traditions. This position is ideal for a nutrition professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment and is passionate about health equity. You will have opportunities for professional growth through exposure to complex clinical cases, community health initiatives, and quality-improvement projects. Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, cultural humility, and a genuine commitment to Good Samaritan’s values of compassion, integrity, and community engagement. By joining our team, you will help shape healthier lifestyles and more equitable wellness outcomes for the patients and families we serve.
