Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated Specialty Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in a dynamic hospital setting. As a Specialty RN, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care to diverse patient populations, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions in accordance with clinical protocols and physician orders. You will be responsible for coordinating care across the continuum, including admission, ongoing treatment, patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up recommendations. The Specialty RN will utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately, ensuring a safe environment and adherence to all infection prevention and patient safety standards. You will accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record and communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and care expectations.
