UF Health is seeking a dedicated RT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Gainesville, Florida. As an integral member of our academic medical center, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for a diverse patient population. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, you will be responsible for safely operating radiologic equipment, positioning patients for optimal imaging, and applying radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and yourself. You will review clinical indications, verify orders, and ensure appropriate imaging protocols, while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered care, comfort, and education throughout each procedure. This role requires meticulous attention to image quality, timely upload and documentation within PACS and the electronic health record, and clear communication with radiologists, nurses, and referring providers. You will contribute to a culture of continuous learning by participating in in-service education, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with UF Health’s commitment to innovation and excellence. In this on-site position, you will uphold all infection control and regulatory standards, respond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations, and support departmental workflow by prioritizing exams and assisting colleagues as needed.
