Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a mission-driven Dietary Consultant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support our commitment to delivering comprehensive, holistic care to underserved communities. In this role, you will serve as the primary nutrition expert, working closely with medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and care coordinators to integrate evidence-based dietary guidance into patient care plans and community wellness initiatives. The Dietary Consultant will complete thorough nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide counseling to patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. You will conduct both one-on-one and group education sessions, using motivational interviewing and culturally sensitive approaches to empower patients to make sustainable, affordable, and practical nutrition choices that align with their cultural traditions and life circumstances. Collaboration is central to this position. You will participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, contribute to treatment planning, and communicate regularly with providers to ensure nutrition recommendations are aligned with medical goals and overall wellness objectives. The role also involves partnering with community programs and internal teams to design and deliver outreach, workshops, and classes focused on topics like healthy meal planning, label reading, food budgeting, and disease-specific nutritional management. As part of Good Samaritan’s dedication to holistic wellness, the Dietary Consultant will help track patient outcomes, document services in the electronic health record, and contribute to quality improvement and population health initiatives. You will support the development of educational materials and resources that are accessible, literacy-sensitive, and tailored to the needs of diverse populations. Candidates should bring strong clinical nutrition knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community health and health equity. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally in a collaborative, values-driven environment where compassion, integrity, and community engagement guide daily work. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while advancing Good Samaritan’s mission of serving through health and promoting whole-person wellness.
