UF Health is seeking a dedicated RT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our comprehensive academic health center in Gainesville, Florida. As an RT, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic imaging services that support accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and excellent patient outcomes. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, you will perform a wide range of radiologic procedures while upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and compassion. In this role, you will prepare and position patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring comfort, privacy, and clear communication throughout the imaging process. You will operate a variety of radiographic equipment and related technologies, including digital imaging systems and PACS, to obtain images that meet established quality and diagnostic standards. You will follow radiation safety protocols and adhere to ALARA principles to protect patients, yourself, and colleagues, while carefully verifying patient identity, exam orders, and any special instructions prior to each procedure. The RT will be responsible for reviewing images for appropriate positioning, exposure, and clarity, and for collaborating with radiologists and ordering providers to address any questions related to exam protocols or patient needs. You will document procedures accurately in the electronic health record, maintain detailed records of radiation doses as required, and support quality assurance activities such as routine equipment checks and participation in performance improvement initiatives. When needed and within scope of practice, you may assist with contrast administration, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and respond promptly and calmly to urgent or emergent clinical situations.
