Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Rad Tech, PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support high-quality, patient-centered imaging care across our network. As a PRN Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols, helping providers accurately diagnose and treat patients in a timely manner. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will greet and prepare patients, verify orders and patient identity, explain procedures, obtain informed consent when appropriate, and position patients safely and comfortably to achieve optimal imaging results. You will operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment, apply appropriate radiation safety measures and shielding, and adhere strictly to ALARA principles to minimize exposure for patients, colleagues, and yourself. This role includes accurately setting technical factors, assessing image quality, and repeating images when necessary while maintaining efficiency and reducing patient wait times. You will document procedures in the electronic medical record, maintain accurate imaging and quality control records, and communicate critical or unexpected findings to the appropriate clinical team members promptly. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and safe work area, performing basic equipment checks, reporting malfunctions, and following all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. You will support on-call, weekend, and varied shifts based on departmental needs, offering flexibility to cover multiple locations within the Piedmont system as required.
