Manager, Social Analytics New York (Hybrid) | Freelance Overview This role sits at the intersection of social intelligence and strategic storytelling, supporting one of the most-watched entertainment brands in the country. You'll work closely with leadership to translate real-time audience signals into decisions that shape how CBS and Paramount+ titles show up in culture. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, thoughtful, and a strategic problem solver skilled at connecting the dots to bring a holistic perspective to the business. This role requires analytical creativity and a desire to proactively problem solve to stay ahead of the ever-changing social media landscape. You'll operate semi-independently, managing your own workstreams with regular stakeholder check-ins. Responsibilities •
Support social reporting and research for key initiatives across Paramount Global. •
Create thoughtful and innovative research solutions based on stakeholder objectives and requirements. •
Own reports, presentations, and other deliverables end-to-end, providing strategic recommendations for Paramount Global. •
Develop and maintain Boolean/listening queries across social platforms; iterate as conversation patterns and platform behaviors evolve. •
Leverage AI-assisted tools and workflows — including LLM-based research and prompt-driven analysis — to accelerate insight generation and reporting efficiency. •
Monitor emerging platform behaviors, algorithm shifts, and creator economy trends to proactively surface strategic implications for CBS and Paramount+ titles. •
Provide thought leadership on the competitive media industry and the evolving social media landscape. Basic Qualifications •
5+ years of experience in social analytics, preferably within entertainment or media. •
Highly proficient with social media management and sentiment tools (Sprinklr, ListenFirst, Meltwater,Talkwalker). •
Expert in data manipulation and visualization (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Domo). •
Familiarity with AI tools applied to research workflows e.g., using LLMs for social listening synthesis, automated reporting, or query building. •
Experience with emerging platform analytics, particularly TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels performance metrics. •
Ability to turn complex data analyses into clear, compelling storytelling presentations and deliverables. •
Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment; able to manage multiple deliverables with minimal direction between regular check-ins. If you are interested send your resume to
