hybrid Applications Engineer / Customer Success
position where you’ll act as the technical backbone of the sales process — and a trusted advisor to customers after the sale. You’ll partner closely with outside sales to: Evaluate incoming opportunities and develop winning technical approaches Create estimates, proposals, and customized solutions Support customers through the sales cycle and beyond This role is ideal for someone who enjoys
both problem-solving AND relationship-building
— someone equally comfortable reviewing specs and talking through solutions with customers. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with outside sales on
lead qualification and solution strategy Develop
quotes, estimates, and technical proposals Serve as a
primary technical contact
for customers pre- and post-sale Conduct
product/sample testing
with customers (onsite & internal) Troubleshoot issues and ensure
customer satisfaction and long-term success Identify opportunities for
upselling and expanded solutions What They’re Looking For Strong
mechanical aptitude
(processing or capital equipment experience preferred) Engineering degree
OR
equivalent hands-on experience in applications, service, or technical sales support Ability to
communicate clearly with customers
— not just technically strong, but personable (“gift of gab” matters here) Experience working with
custom or engineered-to-order equipment
is a big plus Comfortable working in a
collaborative, team-based sales environment Compensation & Lifestyle Base salary up to
