Mammography Radiologist (Locum Tenens Floating, IMLC Accepted)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mammography Radiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Michigan. This role offers a flexible schedule with no call responsibilities and the opportunity to work across two locations in a collaborative, physician-led environment.

This is a floating position covering two sites approximately three hours apart. The ideal candidate is comfortable splitting the week between locations.

Schedule

• Start Date: May 4, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
• Shift: Days
• Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (No Call)
• Typical Schedule:
• 3 days at one site (Mon Wed)
• 2 days at second site (Thurs Fri)

Practice Setting

• Float pool covering two hospital locations in Michigan
• One site is a teaching hospital serving central Michigan
• Second site located near Lake Huron
• Both locations affiliated with a major academic institution
• Rural setting with supportive clinical teams

Key Responsibilities

• Breast imaging (primary focus):
• Screening and diagnostic mammography
• Breast ultrasound
• Stereotactic biopsies
• Pre-surgical lesion localization
• Additional procedural work includes:
• Thyroid, lymph node, and soft tissue biopsies
• CT-guided biopsies (lung, solid organ, soft tissue)
• Abscess catheter placements
• PICC line placements
• Occasional procedures:
• Joint arthrogram injections
• Hysterosalpingograms (HSG)
• Pain management injections

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABR or AOBR)
• Strong experience in breast imaging and procedures
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures preferred
• Clean malpractice history with strong references
• Active Michigan license or IMLC (Compact) eligibility required
• Willingness to travel between sites during the week
