A hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for weekend call coverage due to a temporary gap in coverage. The provider will support hospital-based gastroenterology services and perform a range of advanced endoscopic procedures.

• Weekend Hospital Call Coverage (Saturday Sunday)
• Clinical Areas: Adult Hospital Office/Clinic
• Average 8 procedures per weekend
• Procedures include GSI, Hepatology, Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP and related services
• Lab & X-Ray available onsite
• EMR: Epic
• No trauma designation

Estimated Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

• Esophageal Dilatation / Manometry
• Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
• Small Bowel Biopsy
• Lower GI Endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Liver Biopsy
• Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube Insertion & Management
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Upper GI Endoscopy including:
• Biopsy
• Foreign Body Removal
• Bleeder Fulguration (Cautery/Laser)
• Variceal Injection & Banding
• ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic)
• PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)

• Board Certified REQUIRED
• Active Virginia License REQUIRED
• ERCP Certification REQUIRED (Must confirm at name clear)
• Flu Shot REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine Highly Preferred
• Clean Malpractice History REQUIRED (for temporary privileges)
• Clean Background REQUIRED
• NPDB Self-Query within 30 days REQUIRED
• Must be available for the open shift to be considered
