The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following:
Define and lead the long‑term DevOps roadmap, providing the high‑level architectural guidance necessary to scale automated software delivery across a global engineering organization
Mentor and manage a specialized team of DevOps Engineers, utilizing advanced career‑mapping tools to drive professional growth and technical progression
Architect next‑generation automation strategies for the full development and release lifecycle, overseeing the deployment of CI/CD environments (TeamCity), Docker, and Infrastructure as Code
Analyze complex performance metrics and automated testing data to pinpoint architectural weaknesses and implement proactive, forward‑looking infrastructure solutions
Serve as the primary technical liaison between cross‑functional engineering groups and senior leadership to ensure a unified, secure, and reliable software stack
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent high‑level experience may be considered)
6–8 years of direct experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or SRE with an "Incredibly Rock Solid" technical foundation
Proficiency in complex build systems such as Cmake and Yocto, along with strong scripting capabilities in Python
A deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline architecture and the ability to recommend and implement next‑generation toolsets
A proven ability (or strong desire) to lead a team, focusing on technical mentorship and high‑level project delegation
A stable work history that demonstrates a commitment to long‑term professional growth
US citizenship or Green Card status with a residence within a 45‑minute drive of Milwaukee, WI
