Role Description This is a hybrid role for a technician who thrives on variety. You won’t just be answering phones; you’ll be the bridge between our help desk and backend engineering. You will provide day-to-day technical support, own
Tier 2/3 escalations , and perform regular onsite project implementations across metro Atlanta.
Because we are a lean, elite team, every team member’s work is highly visible and shared. There is a healthy pressure to perform here—we don’t hide behind tickets; we take ownership of results.
While you’ll report to our Lead Engineer, you must be capable of walking into a client site and performing a
server replacement or network rack installation independently.
This role is for the tech who doesn\'t need a script—someone who understands the "why" behind the infrastructure and can troubleshoot their way through a complex deployment solo.
What You\'ll Be Doing
Complex Troubleshooting:
Resolve escalations involving
M365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and Intune/Autopilot.
Networking:
Configure and maintain VPNs and site-to-site tunnels across
Fortinet, UniFi, SonicWall, and Zyxel.
Infrastructure:
Deploy and document firewalls (specifically UDM Pros and FortiGates) and network infrastructure for our clients.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with end-users and executives with a calm, professional, and "human" approach.
Wear Multiple Hats:
As a lean team, you’ll jump between help desk tickets and high-level project work as needed.
Physical Infrastructure:
Lead onsite hardware refreshes, including
racking servers, UPS deployments, and professional cable management.
Server Deployments:
Execute server replacements and migrations (Windows Server) without needing step-by-step guidance.
Qualifications
Experience:
3+ years in a Tier 2 MSP role.
Technical Stack:
Proficiency in
Microsoft 365 Admin , SharePoint, and Windows environments.
Network Savvy:
Hands-on experience with firewall configurations and remote troubleshooting tools.
Ownership Mentality:
Ability to work independently, manage your own tasks in a hybrid environment, and represent Polar Nite onsite.
Autonomy:
Proven ability to manage a physical server/network install from start to finish on your own.
Location:
Must live within
30 minutes of Woodstock, GA
for onsite response.
Bonus Points
Experience with
NinjaOne (RMM) ,
Freshdesk , or
Hudu .
Familiarity with
Huntress
or EDR/XDR platforms.
PowerShell scripting or HIPAA compliance knowledge.
Compensation
Starting at $25/hour
(Higher pay for advanced experience or certifications).
Type:
1099 Contract with option for W2.
Requirement:
Reliable transportation for client sites throughout metro Atlanta.
