Position Description We're looking for a Manual API QA Tester who can ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our backend services. This role focuses on validating RESTful APIs, identifying defects early, and working closely with development teams to improve product quality throughout the SDLC.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, document, and execute manual test cases for RESTful APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.
Use tools such as Postman to validate API endpoints, payloads, headers, authentication flows, and error handling.
Review API specifications (OpenAPI) and collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and edge cases.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups as part of an Agile team.
Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, provide clear defect reports, and validate fixes.
Analyze logs, responses, and backend behavior to identify root causes of defects.
Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Validate data integrity across services, databases, and integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Support) to ensure smooth releases and high-quality deliverables.
Perform end-to-end (E2E) testing across multiple products and cross-functional teams to validate full user workflows and system integrations.
Validate front-end and client integrations by testing how web and mobile applications consume and display API data.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
2–5 years of experience in manual QA, with a strong focus on API testing.
Solid understanding of RESTful API concepts, HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response structures.
Hands‑on experience with Postman, or similar API testing tools.
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid working environment)

Compensation Range A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $139,300.00.
