SAP iXp Intern – AI Machine Learning
Contract Duration:
6 months (extendable)
Working Hours:
20-40 hours/week
As an AI/ML Intern, you will work alongside senior data scientists and engineers to build, optimize, and deploy intelligent systems. You will be responsible for exploring messy, real-world datasets, training models, and helping integrate AI features into our core products.
Data Engineering: Collect, clean, and preprocess large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to ensure they are “model‑ready.”
Model Development: Assist in designing and implementing ML algorithms (Supervised, Unsupervised, and Deep Learning) using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experimentation: Conduct A/B testing, hyper‑parameter tuning, and error analysis to improve model precision and recall.
GenAI & LLMs: Work with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, and implementing RAG pipelines.
MLOps: Help maintain and monitor model performance in production; assist in containerizing models using Docker for deployment.
Research & Documentation: Stay current with the latest AI research and document your experimental results for the wider engineering team.
What you’ll bring
Education: Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
Problem‑Solving: Proven ability to break down complex problems and think through edge cases.
Curiosity: Strong desire to learn new libraries and stay updated on the fast‑moving AI landscape.

Compensation Range Transparency : Targeted combined range for this position is 15,000 - 62,000 USD per year.
