Senior IAM Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of systems and infrastructure, with a strong focus on identity and access management.

You will act as a senior technical contributor, delivering complex engineering solutions, supporting system integration, and driving improvements across environments. While not a people manager, you will provide technical leadership and influence across teams and initiatives.

• Support requirements definition and refinement with delivery teams
  
• Design and implement solutions across network, virtualisation, and datacentre environments
  
• Integrate and manage systems in line with defined acceptance criteria
  
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable system solutions
  
• Work with large and complex datasets to meet business and technical needs
  
• Enhance processes for system delivery, quality control, and workload management
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery efficiency and insight
  
• Execute and analyse integration, regression, and performance testing, troubleshooting issues as needed
  
• Produce clear documentation for deployment, support, and operational processes
  
• Identify gaps in environment standards and drive remediation plans
  

• 
  
• 7+ years in Information Security or Systems Engineering
  
• Strong hands‑on experience with SSO and authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, FIDO, SCIM)
  
• Proven expertise with Ping Identity solutions (PingFederate, PingAccess preferred)
  
• Experience designing and implementing custom IAM policies and integrations
  
• Strong background xcfaprz in Cloud IAM (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  
• Experience federating and synchronising identities across cloud platforms
  
• Solid development experience in Java/J2EE and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
  
• Understanding of API design and RESTful services
  
• Knowledge of Active Directory, MFA, risk‑based authentication, and PAM
  
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere)
  
• Good understanding of security frameworks and risk management practices
