• Call Coverage: 24-hour call, including office and procedure expectations

Gastroenterologists specialize in the digestive system, including:

• Evaluating and assessing patients referred by primary care providers for GI symptoms
• Running diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds
• Performing upper and lower endoscopies (colonoscopies, endoscopies)
• Treating conditions such as IBS, colitis, gastritis, hemorrhoids, Crohn s disease, ulcers, celiac disease, gallbladder disease, GERD, lactose intolerance, and certain cancers
• Referring patients for surgery and providing post-operative care
• Completing administrative tasks, patient records, and participating in business decisions with medical staff

  • Provider: 1
  • NP: 1
  • LPN: 1
  • Anesthesia: Present in each procedure
• Patient Acuity: Adults, acutely ill with a variety of medical problems
• Patient Ratios: 1:
• Charting System: Epic
• Automated Med System: Pyxis

• Licensure: NY State License in hand
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in the last 2 years
• Board Status: Board Certified required
• Scope Experience: Upper and Lower
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS

• Clock In/Out: Shift start to shift end
• Lunch: 30 minutes required
• Overtime: Must be approved
• Cell Phone: Not allowed, leave in locker
• Call-In Policy: 2-hour notice to supervisor & agency

• Level 1 Perinatal Center
• SAFE Designated Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• DNV Accredited Facility

• Updated work history with no gaps over 30 days
