*Overview*
The Technical Program Manager (PM) will own multiple workstreams related to the development of cathode active materials, manufacturing scale-up, and government grant execution. A successful PM at 6K will have a strong working knowledge of chemical manufacturing, manufacturing quality principles (ISO9001, IATF, APQP, etc.), and demonstrated experience launching products from prototype to production. This role will support the coordination and successful execution of multiple government grant activities related to both product development and new plant construction. Strong organizational skills and a penchant for building order in complex, cross-functional projects are essential for success in this role.
*Responsibilities*
* Work closely with R&D, process engineering, commercial, and finance teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and qualification
* Manage communication and program activities with government and commercial partners for development and scale-up programs, including creating and presenting technical updates, tracking program status, supporting supply chain and vendor teams, and owning program schedules
* Provide administrative support to program execution, including budget management, billing/invoicing, resource tracking, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
* Support R&D project management activities by providing tools, systems, and structures that enable the team to execute product development activities.
* Collaborate with engineering disciplines to create product and process design documents that clearly define and communicate product requirements across the organization (D/PFMEA, PFDs, Specifications, etc.)
* Support leadership and commercial teams in new product scoping, market research, and R&D resource management activities related to product development and scale-up
*Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree required; Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
* 5–7 years of experience in a materials R&D and/or manufacturing environment; experience with lithium-ion batteries, automotive supply chains, or specialty chemical production is a plus
* Previous experience managing and executing government grant activities (Department of Energy and/or Department of Defense)
* Previous experience with new product development systems and methodologies (Phase Gate, APQP, etc.)
* Hands-on experience working within ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 quality systems, including APQP and root cause analysis methodologies.
* Strong technical, documentation, and communication skills
* Previous experience with chemical product scale-up, plant construction projects, or equipment commissioning is a plus.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
