We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Oracle Exadata Administrator to lead the management, optimization, and maintenance of our Oracle Exadata database infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure high availability, performance tuning, and robust security for critical database systems. Your expertise will drive seamless database operations, supporting our organization’s data-driven initiatives and ensuring the reliability of our enterprise data environment. *Responsibilities*
* Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and high availability.
* Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations with precision and efficiency.
* Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting for Oracle databases as well as related systems such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
* Develop and implement scripting solutions using Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and other scripting languages to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
* Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and execute disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable database architectures and optimize database design for performance and reliability.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in managing Oracle Exadata systems within enterprise environments.
* Strong background in database administration across multiple platforms including Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, with a focus on high availability solutions.
* Expertise in performance tuning techniques for databases using PL/SQL, SQL optimization strategies, and system diagnostics tools.
* Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems including shell scripting (Bash), system monitoring, and automation tools.
* Familiarity with ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for data integration tasks.
* Knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and development of scalable database solutions.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to databases, storage systems, network connectivity, and hardware components efficiently.
