Position Summary The Mobile Donation Trailer Driver supports KARM Stores’ mobile donation operations by driving a pickup truck and 26-foot trailer to scheduled donation sites, receiving donations from the public, unloading and organizing trailer contents, and delivering excellent customer service. This role also helps communicate KARM’s mission to donors while ensuring safe transportation, proper handling of donated goods, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
        Greet donors with a kind, positive, and welcoming attitude    Receive donations and assist donors with unloading items from their vehicles into the trailer    Share the KARM story and help create a strong donor experience    Safely operate an F-250 pickup truck and pull a 26-foot trailer to assigned donation sites    Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures    Travel to mobile donation sites throughout Knox County and surrounding areas    Assist with dropping off full gaylords and pallets at store locations    Use a pallet jack to move pallets and gaylords on and off the trailer using a ramp    Conduct daily inspections of the truck and key trailer components; report damage or safety concerns promptly    Maintain inventory awareness of trailer contents and help organize, sort, and presort donations as needed    Evaluate donated items according to KARM Stores donation guidelines    Communicate graciously with donors when accepting or declining items    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized trailer and work area    Promptly report accidents, injuries, or safety incidents according to company procedure    Communicate concerns appropriately through leadership channels
Qualifications
      Valid Tennessee driver’s license required  Must have a Class D license with F endorsement or CDL, or be willing and able to obtain F endorsement within 45 days of hire  Must provide proof of personal vehicle insurance  Must have a good driving record  Must comply with Tennessee Hands Free driving laws  High school diploma or equivalent preferred  One to two years of related experience preferred  Ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture and donated items  Ability to work in outdoor, truck, and warehouse environments  Ability to use a cell phone, tablet/iPad, email, and GPS devices  Basic math, reading, comprehension, and problem-solving skills  Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and written or verbal instructions  Basic computer and internet skills  Strong organizational skills  Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a servant’s heart  Commitment to the mission of KARM Stores
Physical Requirements
       Ability to stand or walk while moving furniture for much of the workday   Ability to safely lift and move heavy items on a regular basis   Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally   Ability to work in and around trucks, trailers, warehouses, donation sites, homes, businesses, and outdoor locations   Ability to use hands for lifting, moving, securing items, using straps, and operating a tablet or phone   Ability to talk, hear, and maintain awareness of surroundings throughout the day   Ability to work safely in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow, when conditions allow   Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus required

Work Environment

       Work takes place in truck cabs, trailers, warehouses, outdoor donation sites, and community locations   Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor weather conditions as needed   Frequent movement between donation sites, store locations, and community drop-off areas

Compensation details: 17-19 Hourly Wage
