We are currently seeking a
Combat System Engineer
in our Washington, DC Office. The position is 100% allocated to support the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Germany F-127 Frigate Programs and will report directly to the Germany Combat Systems Engineer (CSE). This role primarily serves as day‑to‑day support of the USG Germany Team within PEO IWS 4.0 and covers several aspects of acquisition and technical support of the Germany Computer Program and supporting hardware.
Within the team, the selected candidate will work with teammates to support the CSE, coordinating tasks across the Engineering team based on individual strengths. Example taskings include supporting the Systems Engineering process by attending and aiding in technical discussions about integration and test of our systems, reviewing technical deliverables and documentation, coordinating action items and RFIs, risk‑management coordination, schedule analysis, and developing and maintaining plans and procedures.
This hybrid in‑person/remote role requires strong organizational skills using the Microsoft Office Suite for meetings, communications, and maintaining the Germany Team’s data library. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS is required 3–4 times a year.

Job description of what CSE support would do
Organization
Use full cloud suite of tools (MS SharePoint, MS Teams) to maintain relevant data and maximize accessibility for the team.
Use collaborative MS Teams OneNote Notebook for informal notes.
Gain access to SIPR and use networked secure sharedrive.
Meeting Minutes & Agenda Development and Tracking
Combat Systems Engineering (CSE) Integrated Working Groups (IWGs).
Focus Meetings (FMs) / Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
Scheduling Meetings
Coordinate and send out ad‑hoc meeting invites.
Find best time for key attendees using MS Outlook.
Assist client by reminding them of key meetings or approaching deadlines.
Contracts
Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) delivery reviews for CSE‑related items.
CDRL tracking and follow‑up with reviews from other team functional areas such as SI&T, Logistics, Tech Rep, etc.
Draft monthly Contract Officer Representative (COR) reports for COR sign‑off.
Review invoices and flag any discrepancies to COR.
Proactively coordinate CPARS reviews with government personnel and set up IPAR syncs with industry quarterly.
Review or draft TI statements of work prior to COR review/signature.
Work with the financial team to ensure funding is ready to be placed on contract when needed.
Systems Engineer
Learn the F-127 schedule and understand relationships of milestones to their dependencies.
Learn, then understand system security, ITAR, releasability guidelines.
Learn, then understand T&E needed to support IAFCL T&E schedule with ship testing schedule alignment.
Risk Management
Consolidate and ensure risks are up‑to‑date.
Provide input on risk writing and wording.
Schedule monthly risk reviews at industry‑level for approach by Technical Director.
Action Item and Planner Tracking
Update Action Item Power App tool with CSE status.
Track planner tool tasking and deadlines.
Basic Expectation
Ability to independently work on tasks/efforts.
Grow to be able to step in for Gov CSE when needed to tag‑team tasking, especially when one person is out.
Required Education Bachelor's in engineering or STEM degree.
Required Experience Seven (7) years’ experience.
Must hold or maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer‑related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined based on various factors. The salary range for this position is NTE $142,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
