Facility in Williamsport, PA seeking GI locums coverage Rates: $5000/day Opportunity Highlights
  • Start Date: May 1, 2026 (Ongoing).
  • Schedule: 1 to 3 weeks per month (Friday 5:00 PM Friday 5:00 PM).
  • Support: APPs are on-site 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Friday, to handle first call and assist with rounding.
  • Solo Coverage: The physician works solo during nights and weekends.
  • EMR: Epic.
Clinical Scope & Volume The provider will manage acute gastrointestinal needs for an adult patient population, balancing hospital duties with a light procedural schedule.
  • Typical Day: 8:00 AM rounding with the APP, followed by 4 6 scheduled outpatient procedures (predominantly screening colonoscopies).
  • Call Volume: 8 10 average admissions while on call; 30-minute response time required.
  • Procedures: Required: EGD and Colonoscopies. Preferred: EUS and ERCP (if proficient).
Provider Requirements
  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-fellowship experience.
  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania (PA) Medical License in hand (Required). Note: Licensure candidates and IMLC are not considered for this role.
  • Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS (Required) and DEA.
  • Documentation: NPDB report no more than 2 years old is mandatory at the time of presentation.
  • Availability: Minimum of 1 week (7 days) per month to be considered.
