Urology Physician

A healthcare facility in Potsdam, NY (northern New York near the Canadian border) is seeking Board Certified Urologists for an urgent locum tenens assignment. Due to current staffing gaps, the facility is looking for 1 2 providers, with priority given to candidates who can offer the most consistent availability.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Type: Ongoing
• Schedule:
  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Optional call and extended shift coverage available
• Shift Options:
  • 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM 5:00 AM or 8:00 PM 8:00 AM)
• Call Coverage (Optional):
  • 24-hour call (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)

• Outpatient-focused with inpatient consults, procedures, and post-operative rounding as needed
• Mix of clinic visits, procedures, rounding, and consults
• Average of 20 patients per day
• Adult patients only
• EMR: Epic

• Level III Trauma Center (for inpatient care)
• Limited robotic surgery availability (typically not available on urology days)
• Procedure types: Pending confirmation

• Board Certified in Urology (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

• Flexible scheduling open to providers splitting coverage
• Highest priority given to candidates with greater availability
• Immediate need due to current and upcoming provider gaps
