About Us
IESE Innovation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to driving innovation in the health & social care sector. Our mission is to deliver solutions that advance and improve the social care landscape, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those commissioning, providing, and receiving care. Our flagship product, CareCubed, is at the forefront of digital care pricing, offering a structured, person-centred approach to the negotiation of costs for specialist care placements. We are growing fast with the introduction of our new brokerage tool coming to market this year.
Our Culture
We pride ourselves on being dynamic, responsive, and having a close team that operates with a flat structure where everyone plays a part in our success. Team members should be comfortable putting ideas forward, suggesting improvements and working with a sensible level of autonomy. Effectively, a “high-trust, high-performance” culture is what we want, where flexibility, autonomy, and collaboration drive success in a fast-paced environment.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a hands-on Senior QA Engineer to improve and bring structure to testing across our growing suite of digital products.
You will join a developing DevOps environment, working alongside a junior QA and outsourced development partners. Your immediate focus will be to increase release confidence through effective manual testing and pragmatic QA processes.
Over time, you will have the opportunity to shape and take ownership of the QA function, introducing automation and improved tooling where it adds real value.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on while building and improving how things are done.

* Design and execute test cases and exploratory testing scenarios
* Build and maintain a repeatable regression testing approach
* Support UAT with internal stakeholders and customers

* Help build consistency, structure, and confidence in their approach
* Lead by example through hands-on delivery
5. Introduce Automation Over Time
* Identify high-value opportunities for test automation
* Introduce tools and frameworks gradually (e.g. regression, critical user journeys)
* Ensure automation is practical, maintainable, and aligned to team maturity
6. Defect Management & Continuous Improvement
* Own and improve the defect tracking and triage process
* Introduce simple quality metrics and reporting
* Contribute to continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops
7. Supplier Quality Assurance
* Work with outsourced development partners to:
* Validate delivered work
* Ensure appropriate testing has been carried out
* Challenge quality where needed
8. Compliance & Assurance
* Maintain appropriate testing documentation and audit trails
* Support QA-related aspects of secure development and ISO-aligned practices

* Desirable
* Experience introducing or working with test automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
* Experience working with third-party / outsourced development teams
* Exposure to API testing or performance testing
* Knowledge of public sector or social care systems
* Awareness of ISO 27001 or secure lifecycle development practices
Personal Attributes
* Pragmatic and delivery-focused

* Collaborative and able to challenge constructively
What Success Looks Like (6–12 months)
