Townmore is experiencing significant growth, with a €130m turnover pipeline secured this year, over 130 direct employees, and more than 1,000 contractors engaged annually. As part of our continued investment in the Munster region, we are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a flagship €20m public sector school project in Blackpool, Cork.

The Role & Impact
This is a high‑profile project within a strong and varied pipeline. We are seeking a Project Manager with some experience of public sector projects, who understands the importance of governance, coordination, and statutory compliance, and who is confident leading teams in a structured delivery environment.
You will be supported by an experienced commercial and technical team, while taking ownership of day‑to‑day project delivery.
Key elements of the role include:
- Leading delivery of a €20m public sector school project from construction through to handover
- Managing programme, coordination, and commercial performance on site
- Overseeing statutory processes including BCAR requirements and relevant Department standards, with internal support where required
- Acting as the main point of contact with the Design Team, Client representatives, and other stakeholders
- Managing reporting, documentation, and quality processes appropriate to a public sector project
- Setting a strong standard for health, safety, and quality across the site team
The Wider Pipeline
While the Blackpool school project is the immediate priority, Townmore has a strong and secure southern portfolio, including:
- An 85‑unit residential development in Midleton (with scope to scale beyond 300 units)
- A 150‑unit residential project in Clonmel
- Upcoming Primary Care Centre and additional Nursing Home projects

What You Will Bring
- Solid experience delivering construction projects in Ireland
- Some experience working on public sector projects, or exposure to public works environments
- Strong organisational, coordination, and leadership skills
- A proactive approach to programme, cost, and quality management
- Confidence engaging with consultants, subcontractors, and clients
- A collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset
Package
- Fully negotiable salary, dependent on experience
- Fully expensed, leased company vehicle (renewed every three years), including fuel card, toll tag, servicing, and tyres
- Vehicle type aligned to seniority (passenger vehicle for this level)
- Pension: 3% from day one, rising to 5% post‑probation, and 6% and 7% after years 5 and 6 respectively
- Health insurance allowance (€1,500)
- Discretionary bonus
- Death in service benefit (up to 3 x gross salary)
