The Inbound Receiving Coordinator is responsible for assisting the supervisors and managers with training and managing the workflow on the inbound receiving dock. The Distribution Center is a fast-paced, high-volume 600,000 square foot state of the art Automotive Distribution center in Shawnee, KS. Responsibilities and Duties Schedule and tracking of inbound receiving activities. Researching issues that are staged in the problem area of the dock. Work discrepancies on inbound shipments(daily). Assist with workload management as needed. Assist with training on Material Support and Box Handlers. Monitoring inbound parts that are required to improve fill levels. File appropriate freight claims with carriers if needed. Monitor and manage reports such as the Inspection report. Communicate issues with local management as well as manufacturing locations. Special project work when needed. Other duties as assigned. Experience AND/OR Education Position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent (College Degree Preferred). Must have a minimum of two (2) years of transportation related experience and familiar with computer related programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with the JD Edwards operating system with prior experience in a WMS environment preferred. Good communication skills and follow instructions/directions with minor supervision. General understanding of the transportation and able to schedule loads in the Traffic Management System. Ergonomic Focus and Additional Qualifications Ability to lift 50 lbs. Other physical demands: standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping; exposure to hot, cold, and dust.
