Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to exclusively partner with our client, a rapidly growing Insurance firm to hire a newly created Data Compliance Manager.

The Role:

The Data Compliance Manager will report to the Head of Compliance and Legal.


This is a highly visible management role where you will provide expert guidance to senior business stakeholders, influence decision‑making as we explore differing business opportunities in a rapidly evolving external environment, and ensure a strong compliance culture is embedded across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and governance requirements including: Data Protection, AI legislation and other data‑focused compliance requirements.
  • Identifying and monitoring related external market developments, upstream legislative and regulatory developments and supporting the business with timely implementation.
  • Ensure conduct obligations are central to business decision‑making to secure customers’ interests.
  • Providing support / advice and independent challenge to the business on relevant regulatory compliance matters (AI & Data Protection) in their interactions with customers – for example on strategic initiatives, communications, products and services.
  • Providing support / advice / direction / challenge in particular on all data privacy, data sharing and data protection business issues.
  • Developing and conducting relevant risk‑based monitoring reviews and reporting on same.
  • Developing and delivering relevant compliance related training to employees at all levels.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience within a compliance function of a financial services entity, ideally an insurance undertaking, with a focus on data‑linked issues.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Irish and wider relevant European regulatory environment including the Central Bank of Ireland’s financial services standards and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively at Board Risk Committee and senior management level.
  • People management experience with proven ability to successfully lead a team.
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills with good attention to detail and ability to produce consistently high‑quality work.
