You'll help shape our architecture, drive technical decisions, establish engineering best practices, and help us modernize and optimize systems that serve thousands of small businesses. You'll work across our full stack (Vue.js, .NET, SQL Server, MAUI, AWS) and contribute to decisions that will define our technical direction for years to come.

3, Nuxt 3, TypeScript, Pinia, Vite, Bootstrap Vue NET MAUI (Android and iOS) Database: SQL Server Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, Cognito), Windows Servers, IIS, GitHub Actions Design, build, ship, and maintain features across our web application (Vue.js 3/Nuxt 3/TypeScript), with contributions to our backend APIs (.NET/C#/Web API), that serve 160,000+ monthly active users Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using Vue.js 3, Nuxt 3, and TypeScript Provide technical leadership and expertise across projects, offering architecture guidance, system design recommendations, and best practices Own significant technical areas end-to-end, from database schema design to frontend UI, taking initiative to identify improvements and drive them to completion Conduct thorough code reviews and architecture reviews, raising the bar for code quality and helping the team make better technical decisions Collaborate closely with Product and the Development Manager to shape the technical roadmap and prioritize engineering initiatives Debug and resolve production issues using monitoring tools like New Relic and Sentry, participating in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability Work on AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and DevOps processes to improve deployment reliability and developer productivity Mentor other engineers as the team grows, sharing knowledge through code reviews, pair programming, documentation, and fostering a culture of continuous learning 6+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, building production web applications ~ Strong expertise in modern frontend development (advanced) ~ Vue.js 3, Nuxt 3, TypeScript ~ Build tooling (Vite, Webpack), performance optimization ~ REST API consumption and frontend/backend integration
Strong backend capabilities (proficient) NET/C# backend code, and write API endpoints
Not just a frontend specialist, you can trace a bug from the UI through the API to the database Strong SQL Server or relational database experience (proficient) Experience with production support, monitoring tools (New Relic, Sentry, or similar), and comfort with on-call rotation (proficient) You document decisions. You ship working code. High standards for quality and engineering excellence Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM) or cloud infrastructure Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) Experience with third-party API integrations (payroll providers, accounting systems, etc.) Experience with or strong interest in AI-powered tools for developer productivity Some leadership experience (tech lead, mentoring, architecture ownership) or aspiration to grow in this direction OnTheClock, founded in 2004, is a Michigan-based SaaS (web-based) software company that provides real-time time tracking, scheduling, and payroll for businesses.
