Location : HYBRID, OSLO, NORWAY
We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Data Engineer to support and guide a large-scale data platform migration to GCP using modern data stack tools such as dbt and Dagster.
At the beginning of the project, on-site presence in Oslo may be required 2–3 times per week to support collaboration and alignment with local teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Lead and support the migration of existing data solutions to a modern data stack (GCP + dbt + Dagster)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and transformation processes
Mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform
Must-have Requirements
Strong hands‑on experience as a Data Engineer in large‑scale environments
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Functions, GCS)
Solid experience with dbt (data modeling, transformations)
Experience with Dagster or similar orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
Good Python skills (required for pipeline development and orchestration)
Experience in data migration projects (preferably cloud migration)
Ability to guide, support, and mentor other engineers
Nice to have
Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with data governance and access management
