Lead Business Intelligence and Analytics Solution Engineer

Responsibilities
Foster strong relationships with key business stakeholders and clients, using excellent interpersonal communication to work with business and cross‑functional teams to deliver and execute complex analytics projects.
Apply best‑in‑class business intelligence practices and deep knowledge of data modelling, dimensional modelling and data warehousing.
Provide business stakeholders with actionable data insights by discovering trends, patterns, anomalies, outliers and correlations that drive better decisions.
Design and develop impactful and intuitive data visualisations that communicate data findings clearly.
Create mock‑ups from business requirements and curate data to scope out reporting needs.
Build semantic models with complex logical attributes and KPI measures that adhere to metric governance standards.
Implement BI and analytics best practices, including peer review, code review, documentation, coding standards, data quality and compliance, to ensure reproducibility.
Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on the BI platform and lead the self‑service COE with office‑hours training.
Establish data and metric governance around curated datasets and metrics.
Conceive, design, engineer and implement technology solutions; study information needs, system flows, data usage, work processes, investigate problems, and resolve project hurdles using technical expertise.
Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms, including design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis, visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
Mentor and guide junior team members in architecting BI solutions, and manage and prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines with efficient time management.
Carry out requirement lifecycle management, epic and story creation (Jira/Confluence), change management, functional testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing and training.
Tools and Skills
Advanced SQL
BI and data visualisation and data discovery tools such as Power BI and Tableau
Data‑prep tools such as Dataiku, Alteryx or Tableau Data Prep
Python or R
Cloud data warehouse Snowflake
Jira, Confluence and agile project methodology
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 7 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 2 years of experience.
Experience gathering requirements, writing functional and technical documentation, stakeholder engagement, conducting user training sessions and building a power‑user business community.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction while delivering complex analytics projects.
Experience in BI and analytics architecture, dimensional modelling, data products, data visualisation, data discovery, curated data sets and advanced analytics.
Hands‑on experience writing complex SQL.
Hands‑on experience with Power BI and Tableau.
Hands‑on experience in Snowflake (stored procedures, dynamic tables).
Hands‑on experience with Dataiku, dbt or Alteryx.
Hands‑on experience in CI/CD (dbt, Azure Repo, Git).
Experience in Python.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
